Installation of an update

A database update was found.
The database administration page that will be displayed after signing in as an administrator.
All options should be checked to update the database layout.
Success message after the database updates has completed.
The current Xima® Formcycle version can be downloaded directly from our update page.
For compatibility reasons we provide access to previous versions of Xima® Formcycle as well. There are three different files for each version:
- fc-bundle.zip (an archive with both the Xima® Formcycle and frontend server applications)
- formcycle.war
- frontendserver.war
For certain version, we also provide plugins you can download.
Notes for 4.6.0+
Step 1: Download the current version
The current Xima® Formcycle version can be downloaded directly from our update page.
Step 2: Replace the old version
- Delete the old formcycle.war file from the Tomcat webapps directory. The formcycle directory will be deleted automatically during undeployement.
- Upload or copy the new WAR file.
Step 3: Database update
When you open the login page of the Xima® Formcycle Server again, a message telling you that an update for the database has been found might appear. If it does, sign in as the system administrator and proceed as follows:
- After signing in, you will be redirected to the database administration page. Check the database details and click on next.
- Click on the next button to update the database.
- On the last page, you can update the system. Select only those actions we have mentioned in the release notes of the version you are installing. Otherwise you should not select any action.
Step 4: Completing the update
After the above steps the update is complete. Sign out and sign in again as the user account you would like to work with.
